The E60 M5 is without a doubt one of the most controversial M cars ever made. It seems as if this car has endless flaws, with just a few redeeming qualities. So how has it been owning a ticking time bomb for 6 months? Honestly, it hasn’t been all that bad.
I bought the car in not so great condition knowing a lot of work would need to be done to it. 6 months later I’d say almost everything that needed fixing has been fixed, and of course I replaced the rod bearings almost immediately after buying the car.
I’m glad to say that this ticking time bomb is running better than ever. Every day for the past 6 months I’ve been driving my M5 to her absolute full potential and haven’t had a single thing go wrong.
This car is the best thing to ever happen to me, I wake up every day with a big smile on my face knowing that I get to drive this wonderful car. She’s treated me well this first 6 months, let’s hope the next 6 are just as good.
