Subject: Tight steering as if my car was stuck in sport mode after new steering rack installed. Any help appreciated! ‘14 335i m sport

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Before new steering gear, I had lightweight steering in comfort and it would tighten up in sport mode. After replacing the gear with same part number and programmed at a local Indy, everything is good except the steering feels stiff in all modes and feels extra stiff at low speeds. I do not have option for variable speed, but just the factory program that adds steering weight. I do not notice any change in steering weight as I go through different modes but my engine does change from eco-to comfort to sport correctly. Any ideas?

Subject: Are high milage BMW still reliable

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

What are people's opinions are on high mileage BMW (200k +). Assuming maintenance was done, how many more miles could you realistically get without crazy expensive repairs, I know BMW is an expensive car to begin with but i am taking like total failure is more what I am asking. Been looking at a lot of BMW but I am a broke bitch and have to buy something older and usually higher milage. Don't care about age so much just curious are there any high milage road warriors out there?
