Subject: Lazy BMW dealer ruining first experience, X5 35d stuck at dealer for over a month for a fuel pump, no work done
This is my dads car, he’s been a Mercedes guy his whole life but I convinced him to buy a BMW. He got a CPO 2018 X5 35d. It blew the rear pump and BMW says the whole fuel system needs replaced, I would think the damage would stop at the HPFP upfront but doesn’t matter much it’s all warranty work.
They’ve been claiming they can’t get parts. I would entirely believe that they don’t have a US warehouse with diesel parts, but should be no issue sending some parts over from Europe.
He’s pretty much ready to trade it in once the car is back. Not because of the quality of the car but the shitty service this dealer has delivered. He had to argue with them to even get a loaner, which instead of at least giving him some X3 or 328i they put him in a Hyundai Santa Fe.
Sucks. Fields BMW in Orlando btw

The BMW dealership in my area is quoting that it will take 48hrs to put on a new windshield on my 2022…
Why is it so long compared to everywhere else I look and see on google…
