Hey all! Decided to get back into the BMW world by ordering a new M3XC. I’ve seen on forums a lot of hate at getting the moonroof instead of the carbon fiber without any real rationale. Is this purely an aesthetic thing? Or is there a purpose to why many are against the moonroof?
There are few things in life that bring me more joy than carving up some back roads with the sunroof and windows cracked open on a nice day - so i’ll likely go with the moonroof regardless… but I am curious as to if i’m missing anything.

I have seen some posts about vandalism... I know that BMWs are nice cars and are more likely to be targeted than a Kia but it is making me hesitant to pull the trigger on a dream car for me. I'm finally at a point where I can comfortably afford the commitment. Please advise. Is this really a big issue in the community? Or is it similar to other crime in that you need to just be smart and not put yourself in situations that are inherently riskier?
