Subject: BMW i7 Starts Testing for Acoustic Comfort With Great Expectations

Hi everyone, looking for suggestions on this potential purchase. Iβve always loved the E36 M3 and found one with 170k miles on it. My question is how does the valvetrain and manual transmission hold up to the mileage? I know i should be checking for rust and spending a lot of time in the cooling system, but I am most concerned with the aforementioned components.

Subject: Received Weird Phone Call Directly to my BMW (not CarPlay)
First time poster here, looking for any insight on something unique that happened to me just now. For reference, I have a 2019 BMW X3 M40i (g01)
I just received a phone call directly to my BMW, which was not thru my iPhone/CarPlay. The dash showed an incoming call with the caller ID being '****' and the incoming call was all thru the iDrive interface; I double checked if my iPhone received such a call and there is no evidence of the call thru my cell phone, leading me to believe this caller somehow directly called my BMW somehow. The ring tone was a tone i had never head before; Sounded like a BMW ringtone, and wasn't the traditional iPhone ring tone like when I receive normal calls to my mobile device. This is the first time this has happened.
When I answered, the caller seemed surprised and then hung up. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Does my BMW have a unique phone number that can be called, outside of my connected iPhone via CarPlay? Again, this was not a call thru my phone, really weird.
Lastly, I navigated around the 'communication' tab in iDrive in the recent calls etc and there is no evidence of this call within the iDrive system. It was almost like it never happened, which is kind of tripping me out.
Hopefully this is enough detail to get an answer or insights...Happy to provide more details and thanks for help in advance.

Subject: HiFi Sound system vs Harman Kardon (12 speaker) - Which one is better?
I'm very curious to hear your opinions on whether or not upgrading my sound system to the Harman Kardon for an additional $1000 CAD is worth it for premium sound?
Currently the HiFi is included in the premium enhanced package, but I can upgrade to the Harman Kardon for an additional thousand. Currently in my 340i I have the Harman Kardon surround system which I think is 1 step up from the standard 12 speaker Harman.
I also noticed that the HiFi has 2 powerful subwoofers located in the central area of the cabin whereas the Harman Kardon only has 1 subwoofer located in the trunk. Realistically, I just want the very best bass and sound, and if the HiFi isn't far off from the Kardon and not worth the upgrade I'd rather save the thousand. Wanted to get some feedback based upon past experiences
