You were right. Coming from a kia, I got an m340i and I can't ever see myself going back to anything less than a straight six. And even though it's an automatic, the paddle shifters are actually responsive enough to keep me engaged while driving (and to let the back end out).

I know some mods can be done without voiding the warranty. I also know that BMW would have to prove said mod caused X to fail.
So two questions…
1) which mods are safe? 2) will a mod void the entire warranty or just parts that associated with that mod?
For reference I just picked up a M340i xDrive and want to add some mods.
