Hello,
So in January I ordered a 2022 i4. At the time the salesman was unable to give me a firm delivery date but said we're looking at 12-18 months. Not great but I can deal with that.
Last week we touched based and he said BMW has promised to ramp up the manufacturing and there's a chance I'll get the car sooner.
Today we touched based again and he said the car is still a ways off and if it goes much longer it'll be changed to a 2023 model and there's a chance I'll be required to pay the difference.
This is unacceptable to me. I ordered (and paid a $1500 deposit on) a 2022 i4. If their production problems mean that they have to give me a 2023 then that's on them. I shouldn't be required to pay the difference.
Am I totally off base here?
FYI I live in Ontario, Canada.
