Subject: A Request to Movie Pirates for an Interview under special consideration of "Piracy as a means of Film Preservation". For a documentary movie.
Hello, I'm a filmmaker. I'm currently writing a treatment for a documentary movie, which aims to examine movie piracy under the special consideration of piracy as a means of film preservation.
As you all know, it is very difficult to find legal ways of watching old/indie Films, especially those that weren't originally released in the US. Oftentimes, peer-to-peer sites are the only places for the public to find access to these movies.
Therefore, I ask for the opportunity to interview a pirate in this matter. Of course, I do not wish to inquire about your identity. I merely want the perspective of an insider.
If you are inclined to help me, please let me know in the comments or send me a DM. If you know of somebody that might be inclined, please also let me know.
Thank you in advance!
Subject: System Information File NFO
I have contacted the tech support of a software developper to troubleshoot it in order to know whether it is going to work or not so I can get myself a legit license. The tech support team asked me to send them a copy of the event viewer log for the error I am having and a copy of the system information NFO file. Should I be worried from sharing the NFO file with them knowing that I used to have a cracked copy of their software before and at the moment I have a cracked copy of other software from other developpers? or they can't know that info from the file? Reading in wikipedia, it said that " NFO files are used to deliver release information about the media, such as the digital media title, authorship, year, or license information. ".
Thank you all for your comments.

Subject: Is there a Windows media player that will take a VR file and then just display it normally?
I have a few Oculus/Vive VR files that I would like to view on my Windows PC. Playing these files normally shows the split view. I was wondering if there's a player that can process these and show them as a normal video? A lot of VR sites display a normal video which is an embedded stream of the VR file. When you go to capture the file, you end up downloading the normal split screen version. The fact that a "regular" version plays embedded means that it possibly can be done via a media player, if a web embedded copy can play that way.
Subject: No matter where I try to pirate from, Spider-Man no way home is always just a camera recording of the show and not like a normal show. Anyone know why this is and if it will change?
I don’t use torrent and I mostly try to pirate from telegram (yes I use that for movies since I’m new to piracy) or an online site or maybe a download from a third party site. Is this considered pirating? I would gladly accept a little more information

Subject: Updating Horizon Zero Dawn?
So i recently downloaded HZD by xatab and after installing found out that i had download a old version of the game(1.05). After checking around i found that HZD also has 1.11 version. But xatab only has updates till version 1.08. So is there a way to update the game or do I have to download the entire game again?

Subject: PSA: TPB Vegas 19 Virus
Just a PSA, please delete if not allowed. I just downloaded Vegas Pro 19 from PTB and it installed a trojan. I had scanned the installer and crack files with Pandadome and Malwarebytes and both said it was clean. At the very end of the main installer I got a notification saying that a file called Installer was deleted because it’s a trojan. It tried to switch my default browser to Edge. Then it added several instances of mismanaging.exe, poised.exe, and Mankiller.exe to my startup list. Have been tracking down the entries in task manager but they keep duplicating. The files are being stored in app data temp folders and program file folders. Ran full scans with Malwarebytes and Pandadome but they’re finding nothing. If anyone has been through this, please advise. Meanwhile, I suggest avoiding Vegas 19 torrents on TPB since they all seem like duplicates.

Subject: conundrum with download speeds
i have been trying to download this game from steamunlocked (linked in megathread) that hosts the files on uploadhaven, which caps download speeds, unless you pay for their premium service. I have tried getting around this by using jdownloader, but the file is locked behind a password. so i turned to using a torrent, but the torrents i have tried have 1-2 peers and yield similar download speeds as the capped ddl. any suggestions to fix this?
Subject: Is a leecher trying to speed up his download from me? I'm seeding a ~50GB torrent (US, TV show). There are 3 clients connected to me from the Netherlands with nearly identical IPs (all but last octet). Has anyone seen this before? I don't care--just curious if there's a reason or just coincidence.
