So I got a new laptop today, and I want to transfer my software (some of which was pirated) from my old laptop to my new one.

So i decided to run an antivirus to make sure that none of the files are fucky.

I'm using hitmanpro. All the pirated files are being marked as suspicious and saying "The digital signature of this file is invalid." I looked that sentence up and found out it can be caused when the file is opened with a software version different from the one used in the signature process. This would make sense as the pirated version isn't the newest version of the software, but I'm not sure at all.

My antivirus says that there is 0 identified threats, but 72 traces.

Would it be safe to transfer these files onto my new laptop? My new laptop costed a lot so i don't want to fuck it up with pirated shit.

What y'all think?

I’m a few years out of the game and sad to see certcollection dead. I got a few IT exams coming up and looking for the next best thing.

I can't tell you how often I bought games that looked interesting to me and I just ended up playing them for 5 minutes and get bored with it. I don't know why but devs these days aren't releasing demos anymore (except for a few Nintendo Games) But I think the demos back then and today should show you the gameplay and a little bit of story so you'll know if you want to really buy it. I buy my games not on steam(simply cause they are way more expensive on there so I use Keys from instant-gaming or mmoga) so Refund is not an option. I have probably around 100 Games on Steam but I pretty much only play ~10 of them the others only have a few minutes or sometimes 1 hour. That's why I pirate things I'm sick of wasting money on games that look great but end up being trash instead. Devs really need to release a Public Demo for everyone like back in the old days. The 10 Games I play are all Games I pirated before but I love them so much that I decided to buy them cause I want to support the developer. At least when pirating stuff I don't feel bad when I uninstall the game since I'm not wasting any money
