Subject: Set of Questions for Pirates
Hello! I'm doing some project for my business class in school, and the topic I chose deals with Nintendo and piracy. I have to get some primary data, so that will come from you guys, I hope. Since this is probably a strange post, I must state that I am NOT working for the FBI. They have better ways to get at you.
We've seen many Nintendo ROMs be pulled from sites like Emuparadise in the past few years. We've even seen Nintendo takedowns of other things that aren't even their games.
Here are some questions to ask you pirates, or 'piracy-enjoyers' as a friend suggested I'd call you:
- What piracy websites did you use that had Nintendo games pulled in the past few years?
- When exactly were they shut down?
- What do you think is Nintendo's motivation with takedowns, especially with games that no longer generate revenue for them in the first place?
- How has these actions affected your image of Nintendo?
- Has the amount of money you've spent on Nintendo (assuming you've ever spent any) increased or decreased since?
Here are some questions to ask any hosts of piracy websites struck by Nintendo, if they happen to be here:
- When did Nintendo pull ROMs from your site?
- Were you sued/threatened to be sued?
- What do you think is Nintendo's motivation for all this?
- Do you think this course of action will financially benefit Nintendo?
Don't feel like you have to thoroughly answer all of them, but yeah, here are the questions.

Subject: Sites for leaking paid digital etsy content or other sites?
This is a super obscure request and I'm not sure this sort of thing even exists, but I thought I'd ask anyways incase anyone here happens to have some or knows someone that releases stuff like this.
There's sellers on Etsy, eBay, and sometimes their own sites like Nick Brick or RebelLUG, they sell lego instructions, usually as PDFs, and after buying a few of them I thought there could be someone willing to just leak this sort of stuff since there's no DRM. Anyone know of something like this? I know the-eye.eu had completely random files and thought that might be a good place to check, but it seems to be down and don't remember seeing anything like this on there either.
Subject: Weird question regarding radarr and IMDb lists: my computer refuses to connect to IMDb, so I need a way to automatically sync IMDb watchlists to another type that can sync to radarr.
So my computer will not connect to IMDb when my VPN is running and my torrent client is on. No clue why but I spent about 3 hours in the last couple of days trying to figure it out.
Radarr is set to automatically download movies I add to the IMDb watchlist, but since the computer won't see IMDb.com, the list never updates.
How can I keep updating the IMDb watchlist and have it associate itself with another list off my network so that I can have that list be on my download list?
Also, switching from IMDb to something else isn't going to work because it's mostly for my stepdad to watch movies he wants from my Plex and he's borderline computer illiterate (although he's a freaking doctor), and it was difficult to even get him to use that method.
Subject: How to get paid version of Cold Turkey Blocker for free
I found out a way to get paid version of cold turkey blocker for free.
While browsing the internet, I found this link. But unfortunately, the python code is wrongly indented, so it doesn't work. I fixed it, and now, on running the script, you can disable or enable your subscription for free.
I am not sure if it is allowed to post the script here, but if anyone knows, feel free to tell me.

Subject: Is Eset good at catching cracks that are real viruses
Hi , Recently, I found a really cool crack for Eset and Windows Defender told it is safe and I installed it. Then I tried to install a crack for Tenorshare iOS softwares in my virtual machine and Windows Defender flagged it as keygen but Eset told it is clean. Also on VirusTotal 8/32 AV programs flagged it as a virus and in the comments someone had told that this crack has a Nibiru Ransomware. What should I believe?

Subject: Internet in Turkey
Hello! I am about to go study in Turkey for some time and I do not know how the laws are inforced there. Is it safe to download P2P and are the sites not blocked? I came from a europeean country with next to no enforcement should I get some extra caution? I know a vpn is always recommended but here I don't need one yet and I have no experience with it. Thanks
Subject: Creating a Search Engine for Pirated Content
Dear Fellow Pirates,
But basically my friends and I are making a search engine that searches through sites in the megathread and outputs links to the download subpages (not direct download links). This currently works for some sites in the r/PiratedGames megathread but we hope to expand to more sites even in the r/piracy megathread.
Here's an example:
If someone searches for the term "Art of Rally" (its a pretty good game y'all should try it), our search engine comes up with links to download subpages like crackhub [dot] site/art-of-rally or gload [dot] to/art-of-rally. These probably aren't the real domains to art of rally don't actually try them.
but you get the point, our search engine outputs subpage links, not direct links to sites like filecrypt or mega. Currently, our search engine works on the local network (ie, you fire up the python flask webapp, navigate to 192.168.1.2:5000 aka your own ip and it works locally).
And we want to put this on the actual web for people like users of r/PiratedGames and r/Piracy to use, it will significantly decrease the number of posts saying "Where can I get x movie?" or "Where can I get y game?" etc. Also it's just generally a hassle ctrl+clicking every link in the megathread whenever you want to find some obscure textbook or game.
So here are my questions for you guys:
- If we were to host this on a server (buy a domain and all that) how legal is this search engine? Is this a complete no-go or does it fall under some kind of grey area? [remember, we are not providing direct mega or filecrypt links]
- If we were to implement this, would you guys use it?
- Also, if you would like to work on this project with us, leave ur github acc link down below [accs younger than 3 months probs won't be allowed and we will look at ur github contribution history before letting u in]. I would love to make this available to everyone aka public github repo, but in the future, colleges/future schools/employers might request to see my github and I don't know what they'll think of a piracy search engine repo... so yah.
Thanks for reading this lengthy post~

Subject: Question on Wireguard
I'm a noob and trying to get into the flow of things, I've looked through the megathread and am trying to set up my own system, everything good there. After searching for a VPN to use (settled on mullvad) I saw through posts here that wireguard would increase download speeds. Seeing as they're apparently owned by NordVPN, I was wondering if that was safe to use?
Subject: I have a question regarding the varying bitrates
I use soulseekQt a lot and when searching for a specific song I would usually get multiple results for one song. I have observed time and time again that the same song encoded in the same file type lets say Flac for example. Would exhibit different bitrates and frequencies, file sizes and sometimes song length. Usually varying by a few seconds. lets say a song could be 1:50s, a different result would say 1:52s Why do these differences exist, especially on a lossless format?
I'm essentially admitting to piracy which is by I'm not asking this question on r/music
