1. In what situations can cracked copies play together? I thought it would be P2P and LAN lobbies that would work
2. I wanted to play HOI4 cracked with a friend multiplayer wise, is that at all possible?

Each time, it muted the sound, but I was able to get the sound back by stopping the movie, and skipping to the part where it happened.

I have a Laser Multi-Region Blu-Ray Player, I've had it for about a year. I watch movies by downloading 1080P YIFY or YTS BluRay or BRRIP torrents, putting them on a USB, and playing them on my Blu-Ray player. I've also been doing this for about a year. I've done it with about 100 movies, and this is the first time this happened.

I did some research, I think I'll need an ELI5, all I understand is that it's because the movie is pirated. Why did it only happen to this movie, and how can I know in advance whether or not it will happen?

Hey all! This is my first time here so I hope I'm doing this right. I was trying to get a solutions manual for my sister's algebra II textbook (from 1995!) and I couldn't. After like a solid 40 minutes of research, I finally actually got the ISBN to the teacher's edition for the textbook. However, it's not on libgen and I don't really know where else to look. Simply looking up the isbn just brings up some very sketchy sites to buy it second hand. Obviously, I'm trying to get it for free :P

I've seen a few people talking about just setting up easy streaming options over using Self-hosted. I'm also trying to figure out what I should do for myself. Here's what I'm currently doing:

Torrent to seedbox(seedhost.eu), script downloads it to my NAS, filebot renames it and adds it to Plex. This is then viewed by our Nvidia Shield Pro or Roku Tv. It's not the cleanest way and it runs into problems a lot.

For self-hosted, how are people discovering new things to watch?

I am taking this course and the instructor warned against downloading it because they can detect download attempts and screen recordings. Of course I don't want to get caught so I was thinking of several ways.

1. Installing a VM and playing the video there, while recording on host OS
2. Playing the video on my iphone and recording the screen mirror on my mac using Quicktime

Can anyone suggest a better way, or tell me whether there is any way they can detect me screen recording the course??
