Subject: What's the best file sharing site?
Sorry if this kind of post isn't allowed, I'm posting it on this sub because file hosts are important in the world of piracy and everywhere else gives shitty sites from sponsored internet articles. Just wondering what the easiest site is to share medium/large files for sending to people. Thanks.
Subject: Anyone know what's up with the Mac Applications page on TPB?
All except one of the torrents are from one new user, with allegedly nearly 6000 seeders for torrents that were only put up today, they seem to be all dmg files and they ask you to install Adobe Flash lol
Unfortunate for a handy Mac torrent page to be swamped like this :(
Subject: Why do some scene releases have a different filename to the foldername?
I realised that some scene releases have a different filename to the foldername. This means I have to manually copy the foldername to the filename which ends up taking time. Does anyone know why and a quick way to make the filename the same? Thankyou

Subject: Who rips the most small sized movies/TV shows?
I am starting to assemble a time capsule (256 gig USB) and I want to cram as much as possible in the thing. Currently gathering best selling books, how to guides and magazines, photos of the year (national geographic etc).
I want to put all the movies that are listed at the IMDB top 250 movies, and I need to know from what source or which piracy groups rips the best and smallest size of movies and tv shows?
Subject: Is there a way to join top trackers as an actual adult with a full-time job?
Hey, there r/piracy I have a question that I don't think is against the rules here?
I mainly want to know if there is a way to join the cabal with straight-up money or something that does not takes literal years of my time?
I'm fortunate enough to make enough per hour that it doesn't make any financial sense for me to spend like a 1000 hours to get into these trackers? can't I just give them like 5G and they let me in?
What is the easiest way to join these trackers?
And before asking I'm trying to pirate not because of the cost savings but because of the higher quality and ease of access to all media at the same place
Thank you all so much for your help

Subject: watching 4k movies on TV through an external hard drive
Just got a new 1tb hdd and wanted to move my downloads to it. I tried hooking up the drive to different 4k tvs and each one had a different problem.
Two of my Sony tvs experience buffering/lagging (one of them has a subtitles option, the other doesn't). My Samsung TV gave me an "audio file not supported" for one of the movies, while second movie worked fine.
My hard drive is a Seagate 1tb external, and used rarbg and qbittorrent to get the movies.
I downloaded them first to my ssd then I copied to the hard drive, files are .mkv format if that makes a difference.
Still new to all of this so not sure where to begin.
Subject: Can you try to help me with my games organization
So I have some OCD and this is where I start having some sorta problems with organizing my pirated materials concerning video games. I'm a retro gamer of 90s and 2000s, video games are very important to me. Video game preservation is very important, especially considering like 30 years from now where it might not be easy anymore to find these games. I also actually very regularly use all these roms etc that I'm keeping. So it's overall really important for me.
But I started basically freaking out when I noticed the US/EU/JP releases can be vastly different for the same game, often causing issues for me on deciding which one to keep. If I try to keep them all, that just takes so much space, cuz I'm keeping about 50 games across various console releases. So like what am I even supposed to do? Let me tell you by examples what hinders my deciding.
If I try to keep only US releases:
- The large majority of these games include only English. I want German too, so this is not ok with me.
If I try to keep only EU releases:
- Crash Twinsanity has a huge bug in the EU release, making me not to want that version. If I want a completely proper play, I need the US release.
- Tomba! 2 has several releases, namely EU/DE/ES/FR, all separate, so that kinda destroys the point.
- Sonic Adventure 2's EU release currently does not have a widescreen code for Dolphin, which is quite disheartening.
If I try to keep both US and EU releases:
- Most games lack the Japanese option, I like using Japanese dubs too sometimes. Examples are Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, Tomba! 2, and probably many more.
If I try to keep all of US and EU and JP releases:
- Simply takes way too much space, especially considering how I will probably never use the JP releases.
So all this is freaking me out because I do want all these games. Any help and advice on what I could to do organize my collection and be balanced and reasonable while doing so? :D
