Subject: How to play all your cracked games (mostly) safely! The BULLETPROOF way.
So recently I had my PC infected with malware... I believe by a "disk recovery" program from RuTracker.org (which usually works well for me). Not only did it corrupt my PC - making it crash once in a while - but I also noticed that it deleted my Bitwarden .exe file from my password manager! So, I had a (most likely) compromised password manager. Needless to say, that really spooked me and I had to change all my important passwords (thank god 2FA exists).
I decided I had to say goodbye to piracy once and for all.
But then I started seeing again how expensive games are these days and... I realized there had to be some way to play cracked games safely. Things I looked into:
- Virtual machines (slow, bulky, not optimized)
- Bare-metal KVM virtualization (too complex, even if you get it to work perfectly there would be complex maintenance work - nothing ever works right on Linux)
- Actually buying the game ($70 for each game?! Pass..)
So then I thought... what if there was a way to install 2 Windows OS's, with one being fully hidden from the other?
That's where it led me to the following setup: 2 separate drives, each having Windows 11 on it, with one of them encrypted with Bitlocker ("Work" computer) and the other one non-encrypted, the
I tested it and the Gaming PC cannot access the Work PC since it doesn't have the encryption key.
So, using this setup, malware will not be able to hop between the PCs and as long as you're using common sense and sticking to reputable sources (FitGirl, etc.) you should be quite safe! And even if you do catch some malware, as long as you don't log in to ANYTHING personal on the "Gaming" PC, your computer will also stay safe.
TL;DR: Dual boot 2 Windows installs, one encrypted with Bitlocker and the other not. Malware can't hop from one OS to the next. Don't log into anything and you can play any cracked game you want - safely!

Subject: Are there any Apple Music remove ALAC DRM methods in the wild?
As in title. Always been on cracked Spotify + rutracker + free-mp3-download combo until my new hardware buy gave me the offer I can't resist. They do have 24-bit/48 kHz or even 24-bit/192 kHz quality ALAC offerings for many new albums. If there's any way to rip it, would get the highest audio quality out in the wild 😁

Subject: Hello! Go easy on me, as I've never done this before, but I'm trying to play GTA San Andreas on my Macbook, and was under the impression that .iso files would run just fine, but I cant figure out how to run the game with the files I've downloaded. I presume I need to run it through an app? Thanks

Subject: Is there a way to bypass Telegram's protected content forwarding?
I have seen some bots that you can add to the protected channel, in order to forward messages, but that's not an option since there are no invitations anymore.
I would like to forward or at least copy/paste protected messages from a Telegram channel. Is there any unofficial client that lets you do that with root rights? Or maybe a third party app to copy them?

Subject: High GPU usage on torrent clients
I just uninstalled BitTorrent. The program UI kept freezing, and on investigation I found 100% GPU usage while it was open. Assumed crypto miner process and uninstalled with Revo.
Now trying Deluge and getting frequent spikes to 85% - 100%, high average usage, but not constant 100% like on BitTorrent.
Should I be worried? Is there a more trustworthy client?
Subject: HOW TO GET BOOKS WHEN ZLib IS SHUTDOWN?
Well, to be clear, just the domains for zlibary have been shut down (seized by the US postal service) but the back-end is still intact and we have NOT lost any books at least as of now. And so, in order to continue accessing these books, we have two methods:
- Download TOR browser (and get a VPN if you are paranoid), and use their TOR link to access zlibrary and all their books
- Use the telegram bot for accessing the books (much recommended over TOR, with only downside being not being able to download books which are bigger than 50MB due to telegram restrictions)
In order to do the method 1, you need to download TOR browser from https://www.torproject.org/download/. And then run your VPN if at all you want to (which honestly should not be super necessary unless you're absolutely worried about your privacy or worry about getting in trouble in some way. And then you need to visit the zlibrary's official TOR link using that specific browser. The TOR links end with .onion usually, and so you may find the official links to those services simply by googling zlibrary followed by TOR link. Once you do so, login to your account and well happy downloading. You may also download the new android application from the TOR webpage, and that application should also continue working good enough.
For doing method 2, you need to sign up on telegram by downloading their app on Android or iOS or windows (for windows, I recommend you to download Unigram instead of telegram's official app so as to be able to sign up on windows directly.) And then, once you've created your account, you may find the telegram bot for zlibrary by searching for @firstlibrarybot and then clicking on the start button so as to link your telegram account with your zlibrary account.
It's a shame that the domains got seized but I strongly do believe that they would be back with a more reliable solution soon enough. Until then, use the TOR/telegram bot and well, happy pirating!

Subject: Steam Purchases outside my "Native" County
I want to say sorry in advance for this already over discussed topic.
Long story short: I'm from Europe but came to study and live in Turkey for an indefinite amount of time. Was wondering if I could buy steam games here without problems.
Anyone has experience with this?
