Gotta say, so far the Libertarian Feed is looking more like the Liberal Feed than what I'd recognize as Libertarian.
Imma leave it up, in the interest of counter-balancing the Trump Reddit...
But I'm dubious. I think the Libertarians have been severely compromised by the Left.
Subject: No, destroying a government to install a more authoritarian government is not libertarian
I don't know where they're coming from, but we seem to have people popping out of the woodwork today claiming that we should support the Trump terrorists (that's what they are, not gonna sugarcoat it) because they're "destroying congress", and congress is government and libertarians hate government.
You might have the tiniest sliver of a point if they were trying to topple government for a government that would grant more freedom and liberty. You'd have an even bigger point if the government they were trying to topple was some authoritarian regime.
That's not what this is, this is an attempt to overturn a democrat election to keep an authoritarian demagogue in power. This is about the least libertarian you can get, being anti government isn't libertarian when the end goal is a fucking dictatorship.

Trump basically glorified the terrorists in his latest tweet (which was deleted by Twitter):
“These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!”
I’m wondering why more people aren’t talking about it?! Even though it was deleted, you’d think the media would have picked it up, since it was posted a few hours after his one telling people to “go home”.

Subject: This was the darkest day in American history, except for...
That time the Patriot Act was passed, authorizing decades of spying on Americans.
That time hundreds of billions of dollars were funneled to big banks wanting a bail out.
That time we invaded a country to keep the oil coming.
That other time we invaded a country to keep the oil coming.
That time we killed hundreds of thousands of people in the middle east who did nothing to an American citizen ever.
That time we incarcerated a greater percentage of our own citizens than almost any other country in the world.
The media is right. Today is the day America should be ashamed of.

I just want to say today has made me prouder than ever to be an American. Despite such an attack on our institutions, the Constitution did its job, as always.
No matter where you side on the political arena, one thing is for certain: democracy and liberty are not a given. It is up to us to defend and uphold them.
Still, it really hurts to see the events unfold. I’ve never been the patriotic type, but seeing our flag replaced with a banner in support of one man, and seeing the treasonous Confederate flag flying through our nation’s Capitol as if taunting what we stand for nearly brought tears to my eyes.
I look forward to discussing and protecting liberty with each of you during the difficult years to come.

4 Trump supporters are dead. That one lady from San Diego got shot and killed. It’s being reported 3 other Trump supporters are dead. One died from a heart attack and I heard the other two died from falling while trying to climb the Capitol building.
Seems like it was a failed mission. Whatever their mission was.

Subject: I have to say it's been a weird experience for me personally seeing r/Libertarian being a reasonable voice in this chaos.
I might get down voted or criticised for admitting that I basically saw you guys as naive idealists who are the fresh out of college, want to change the world types that had no fucking idea about the complexities of society and why your ideas would never work. But I've lurked for ages here, in Conservative and in Politics too, and I have found the only sub of all three of them that don't descend into inanity is you guys. I mean i don't always agree with politically for a number of reasons but fuck, no one gets it right all the time and no two people will ever agree on every single thing, but you guys generally seem to be on the right side of morality (in my opinion) in discussions on rights and difficult subjects like what's going on in the USA right now. So respect you guys I guess is what I'm saying.

Subject: Its a Sad day for Liberty when the biggest threat to Democracy is the President
Subject: U.S. Congress accepts Electoral College result, Joe Biden's certifies 46 US president | World News
Subject: Spike Cohen: This isnt about R v D, White v Black. Its about the people v powerful politicians and cronies (including Trump and Biden). They want us to riot so they can pass even more authoritarian measures. Imagine what Biden and Congress are going to do after this fiasco? Work with your neighbor.
The reason for the protests and riots that are happening right now, is for reasons that are way more similar to why the Black Lives Matter protests and riots happened than either side is willing to admit.
At the core of these riots, at the core of why they voted for Trump in the first place, is frustration and fear over what they see around them: lost jobs, low wages, the cost of living skyrocketing out of control.
Simply put: people who are happy and comfortable don't riot.
The problem is that they're misplacing their anger and rage. They're currently rioting on behalf of someone who helped put them in the mess they're in.
This isn't about left vs. right, Republican vs. Democrat, White vs. Black.
It's about the people vs. a relative handful of incredibly powerful politicians and cronies (including Trump and Biden) who rob us every day.
They rob us of our money, but they also rob us of our opportunities, of our livelihoods, of our future. As we've seen many times, sometimes they rob us of our lives.
Their actions fill us with rage, and they redirect our rage towards each other.
Remember in the 2000s when Occupy (anti big business) & the Tea Party (anti big govt) were fighting each other while big govt handed trillions of dollars to big business, created regulations to turn them into monopolies, and laughed at the rest of us?
That's happening right now.
We just got yet another "stimulus" bill where we got $600, crony corporations & big government agencies got trillions, & we got stuck with the bill for it, with interest.
This was passed in a broad bipartisan agreement. Pelosi, Harris, McConnell and Trump all had a part in it.
Republicrats want us divided. They want us to hate each other.
They want us to riot so they can use it as an excuse to pass even more authoritarian "tough on crime" measures. Can you imagine what Biden and Congress are going to do after this fiasco?
The thing is, it doesn't have to be this way. It never did.
We don't have to live with a system that wasn't built for us, but relies on us to keep going.
We don't have to be struggling to make ends meet.
We don't have to beg for crumbs from the bread that was stolen from us.
There is only one way to fix this:
Recognize that this is all a scam, that Rs & Ds are in on it together.
Never vote for them again.
Replace them with people who will dismantle their thieving, murderous system.
Don't hate your neighbor, work with them to fix this for good.

Subject: Anybody getting off on police brutality against protestors during the curfew enforcement last night is a fucking hypocrite.
That’s it. If you support/supported BLM and you find this entertaining or titillating, your word is fucking mud.
Edit: Since you morons don’t understand ideological consistency, I OPPOSE ALL POLICE VIOLENCE AND ANYONE WHO OPPOSES ANY POLICE VIOLENCE SHOULD OPPOSE IT ALL. Anyone who cheers at pigs beating citizens is a shitbag, and I’m ashamed to be in the same country as you. Is that fucking clear enough, or do I need to do it in three-part harmony as well?

Subject: Leftists and Libertarians agree on more than you might think
I have been lurking here to see opposing view points that aren't insane, and have realized that a lot of the posts agree with some opinions that I, a leftist hold. First, to be clear, when I say I am a leftist broadly that means I advocate for democratic control of the workplace. Some similarities in ideology that we have include:
- anti-gun control (many are surprised to hear this, even though Marx adamantly opposed gun control)
- anti two party system
- anti surveillance state
- anti police
- anti Trump
There are probably more I could find but I think that most leftists and libertarians agree on important core principles of liberty and freedom, we just think there are better ways of achieving that goal.

There is nothing left to argue or debate. Yesterday they literally stormed the Capital. Today they want to say it’s the same as protests this summer. Sorry it’s not one is the high crime in this country the other isn’t even be pursued by the law.
There is no reason. No logical talk works. I’m just blocking them taking notice of where most the crazy talk come from and ignoring those places.

Subject: Record Gun Sales and Diverse Ownership Mean Rocky Prospects for Restrictions
All this stuff about election fraud, and storming the capital has driven me away from the GOP. They claim to be pro small government even though they are statists in basically every issue. They refuse to accept the failure of the drug war, and they won’t do anything to solve our problems. I am now no longer a republican and I am excited to be a part of this community. Fuck the two party system, we need to try our best to end it.

Subject: Becuase of those on the right using violence and intimidation to challenge our democracy, standing up for gun rights in the new administration will be harder than ever.
These self proclaimed “Pro 2A Patriots” and “Oathkeeper” type of people who have recently been supporting anti-democratic efforts and since yesterday blatant insurrection are actually doing far more harm to the average person’s second amendment rights and ability to arm themselves than anything else I can think of right now. The last couple nails in the coffin of gun rights are being nailed as we speak by right wing extremists who are only interested in advancing anti-democratic ideologies with no regard for the impact of their actions on their fellow citizens. The optics to the average non-gun owning American and even to people that otherwise wouldn’t care about gun ownership for owners are worse than they have ever been. Not to mention that the nihilistic prepper mentality of these people has spread through the gun market like a disease, causing a pricing war that has inflated the cost of gun ownership (not just the gun itself but ammo too) to the point where many prospective first time and lower income gun owners are finding themselves unable to exercise their second amendment rights due to financial or supply issues.
I cannot, in light of yesterday’s event, see a new administration that has already been open to putting some limits on the type and kids of weapons an individual can own, being sympathetic whatsoever to the arguments of your average gun owner, whether a sport shooter, hunter, or someone who has them for self defense. Burned into the eyes of voters across this nation are the confederate flags, trump flags, and the Gadsden flags that descended on the capital and resulted in violence and bloodshed.
Threatening insurrection and rebellion becuase the the federal government won’t overrule the states certified election results is not at all what the founding fathers intended when they wrote the second amendment. The second amendment is meant to ensure that individuals can ensure their own right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness even in the event that the government is failing to do so. They did not intend for it to be used to by an organized mob to take those very rights away from other people.
