Just picked up a preconfigured Mister and sd card. I realize how noobish and annoying this question is going to come off, but I’m tearing my hair out and can’t find a resource telling me what’s wrong.
I’m just trying to load basic games on cores like NES, Genesis, TG-16 etc. I’ve put the .nes, .md, and .pce roms in the folder folder labeled “games.” I go to the core and hit “load” and none of the roms I’ve put show up. Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere? Wiki just shows an Earthbound running just fine

Subject: First PSX Game Booting From CD Image on MiSTerFPGA
I’m considering a Mister to get as close to original hardware as possible, I was wondering if there is a way to connect original cartridges and use the Mister as a replacement console?
In an ideal situation I would use a cartridge adapter from a broken Neogeo MVS board or other console. I’m thinking this could be a way of preserving original hardware as much as possible.
I’m thinking that the challenge is connecting the hardware together but not sure if it’s already been done

I managed to find a Sony Crt monitor in perfect condition
I am seriously thinking of buying a MISTer Fpga and play old DOS/Amiga Games connected Via VGA to the Monitor.
The monitor is a Multiscan 17" G220 that supports a maximum resolution of 1600*1200 Aperture Grill and Dot 0.24 mm only VGA Output
Is it possible to add two separate speakers? Do I need an audio output jacks on the I/O of the Board?
Thanks

If i plug the controller in with a usb cable everything works fine but when using the reciever all that works is the d pad on the menu. Can anyone help? What am i doing wrong?

Easily worth it for me. The thing is pretty much silent where the fan that came from misteraddons was fairly annoying even at 3.3V. I know subjective but if you value silence maybe worth the $14 for you too. Only issue is it comes with way too much cable and kind of obnoxious shielding. I cut that crap off and spliced the wire to the 2 pin connector that came with the fan. Works great. Here is the model if any of you have an annoying fan and want an upgrade. Noctua NF-A4x10 5V. I am running at 3.3v using the jumper so 5V might make some noise but I’m pretty sure running this at 3.3V and having a heatsink on the chip is plenty. I got a plexiglass case of Etsy that has some vents so air flow seems good. I have the fan blowing on the chip. Couldn’t really find any definitive reason to run it one way over the other so probably completely fine to do either.
