Hi all, first time MiSTer user here. I installed MiSTer and ran the update script. Can run console and computer ROMs without the issue. However there's a list of games under "Arcade" and whenever I try to run one of them, I get the below error:
"games/mame/combh.zip/pr-10902.5
pr-10902.5a not found"
I checked games/mame folder and it's empty. After Googling, I downloaded and ran Update_All script (https://github.com/theypsilon/Update_All_MiSTer) but it didn't help. Sorry if this has been asked before, I just couldn't find the answer but could you help me how can I fix this issue please?

Hi, my DE10 nano has just arrived earlier than expected and would like to see if I can get started without any additional accessories. I believe there are some cores that work without any additional add-ons but my question is around the power supply. I am in the UK and it has come with a US power adapter. I assume I can't power it through either of the USB out ports and have to use the barrel adapter. I have several around the house that are the same size but none that match the voltage and current specified on the plug. Do I need to match them exactly? Worse case, could I damage the unit if I use a incompatible power adapter?
Thanks in advance

Noob in the extreme. Sold some things, have money for a MISTer.
I want to be able to do as much as possible with a nice case setup.
99% of the time I'd be using HDMI (I know, but don't yet have a CRT.) I assume you get "audio out" over HDMI?
Is there something special you need to do to get 1/8th inch audio out?I hear you can actually get audio IN to emulate tape deck support on some computers - what do I need for that?
I see you want the memory upgrade, 2.9 being the current version. What makes that current? Isn't memory - memory?
I understand the SNAC boards allow you to plug in things like 2600 controllers. Is there a case or version available where all the SNACS are plugged in and ready rather than having the little USB boards hanging out of the sides?
(edit) Is the lag from something like an atari 2600 "trooper II" USB stick measureable vs the SNAC board for the 2600 controller? (i.e., is the snac board "worth it")
I'd love like "Red Yellow White" (AV / RCA) out or even better - composite out to run into a switch box. Is that a thing?
Is spending 600 on ebay for a basic setup a bad idea and overpriced and should I just wait until a reputable seller has them?
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your help.

Subject: MISTer multisystem wanted, will pay more than retail.
I guess they are out of stock.
If you have a complete system you'd sell (at a markup) I'd be interested!
Even if you just have the multisystem board I'd be interested.
The reason I'm willing to pay above retail (let me know what you're willing to let yours go for!) is that I have a once a year trip to my best friends and I'd love to have this for the trip.
Thanks.

I’ve got a Logitech mx keys mini and I was hoping to use it with my mister via Bluetooth, but it always fails the pairing process. I learned that this keyboard is also not compatible with the Logitech unifying receiver, but does work with the bolt receiver. Has anybody ever had any luck using the bolt receiver with the mister? I’m concerned I’d have the same issue with pairing as I did with Bluetooth.

When buying USB-C and Micro USB cables for controllers, should you worry about transfer speeds? Or is the standard MiSTer and the Multi system Usb 2.0 so it doesn’t really matter?

Subject: Guncon - Snac, Calibration not working w/ F10 on OSD
Per title, I've tried two different 'working' keyboards, both are functionally navigating mister menus (F12 brings up OSD, etc). When I'm in an appropriate core and pull up the OSD, I cannot for the life of me understand why F10 does not pull up the calibration screen. Is there some dark arts or script I need to [re]install??
Thanks!

Ultimate Mister has complete setups in stock and misteraddons is putting some stock up later today. Who would you purchase from? I'm looking and I think I can save nearly $100 just purchasing from Ultimate Mister instead. anybody have any experiences with either?

Many people tote the MiSTer as a "multisystem" fpga console. I'm looking to use one to recreate just a single device as a handheld, hopefully using the MiSTer core of said system. Is this a bad idea or perhaps the wrong way of doing things? Is the MiSTer FPGA even capable of being a dedicated system?

I need some help with direction. About a month back my Sony WEGA CRT died. I haven't bothered to replace it. I don't think I'm getting another CRT. I have a ton of retro consoles with RGB mods/RGB output via SCART. I'm contemplating getting a RetroTINK 5X but I'm also torn on if I should just get a MiSTer instead. I feel like the MiSTer would be less hassle but I'm fine with either direction. I'm also not too terribly worried about the cost. I would just prefer not to buy one and then the other. The primary consoles I play are the NES, SNES and Genesis along with some older arcade titles that the MiSTer also handles. I'm receptive to any thoughts. I figured I would get better feedback here than the retrogaming, etc. subreddits. Thanks!

Hello. Is the voltage of the analog video signal of the mister always dependent on the core you are using? I readed that there is no dac involved and the fpga is making that work exactly as the original board was doing. Does that mean that the different cores throw different voltages to the video signal? Because i readed somewhere that the output of the vga of the mister should always be 0.7v for a 75ohm resistor.

Subject: PS1 Core: Is the psycho mantis fight in Metal Gear solid possible to complete on MiSTer?
It's been over 20 years since i've played Metal Gear Solid, but remember the psycho mantis fight involving things like opening the disk drive and changing controller slots. Is it possible to complete this fight on MiSTer?

Subject: Green Screen Crawl and garbled and color issue
![]() | Hello All! There is a green crawling strip (first image) and strange colors when running roms all of a sudden. I've fiddled with the ini and have found no difference in the comp sync, terminal, vga scaler settings, or the SoG switch. Please note: running update appears correctly in black and white. Swapping ybpr off results in the following to pair of images (to help provide motion and show color is correct with ypbr off). Following pair is what it looks like now on ybpr off, having just changed again, not having touched a thing! (clean install did not work). Well, now it is back to the prior pair on the same settings. WTF? I have MiSTer outputting hdmi to a component converter that was working brilliantly! (Direct vid obviously on) It just suddenly started having this color weirdness. I have checked the cables and converter--all good. Well, I tested other converters and either the same or no results. I have no idea what is left to try. Thoughts? Any? I just have no idea what to even try next. Many thanks, Many Marco [link] [comments] |
Subject: Wii Nunchuck as a SNAC Atari 2600 device via Atari SNAC + WiiJoy adapters (with bonus autofire :)
In the Amiga core, how do you remove one of the saved config files? Is there a location in the filesystem where these are stored? Or is it fine to just save over an existing config with a new one?
