Subject: Anyone else still play chess against their AMIGA?
I obviously have the pick of hundreds of chess programs on Android and my PC but for some reason I just love playing against Chess Simulator on my AMIGA. I have Colossus, Chessmaster and Battlechess to pick from as well. Can't explain it (can any of us really explain our love for these machines) but there is just something about it that beats a sterile modern day computer opponent. They just aren't AMIGAry enough for me! Anyone else? I can't be the only one regularly having his ass kicked by a Motorola 68EC020 ? Do you play against other retro machines?

Subject: Updated Native Developer Kit 3.2 released by Hyperion
I just noticed an updated developer kit for AmigaOS3.2 was released by Hyperion.
Doesn't look like major changes, but probably a must-have for Amiga developers nonetheless. The fact that you might need earlier NDKs to complete the current one is... very Amiga. ;-)

I rarely see anything at all about the Amiga 1000...is no one interested in them anymore?
I know newer Amigas can do things the 1000 can't, I'm just curious. :-)

TBAG, yes I know... cool disk of the month archive with shareware and other cool stuff. They used to meet up at a local high-school after school hours in Tampa.
Maybe some of you have heard of them, maybe not, but anyways, here you go. There is also links to other Amiga stuff.

Hey everyone, so I recently came across a pretty good shape Amiga 2000 that I am adding to my collection. I really want to give this thing the overhaul that is the best of 2021. Can you guys recommend mods? I want to fully deck this thing out so that I can have the best amiga 2000 I can make.

I’ve been buying and fixing up computers for a long time now, But I’ve never had the chance to play with an Amiga. While sorting through a pile of old macs in a barn the other day, i threw an A1000 on the pile since the guy accepted my $20 offer. It is absolutely disgusting and desperately needs a bath and retrobrite, the keyboard is missing a key, it has no mouse but did come with an external floppy attached alongside the built in drive. I just finished opening it up and it looks clean inside — there’s what looks to be a mezzanine memory board as well as the front memory expansion installed. I’ll recap it before use, but the question is, should I bother? I don’t see much love for the original Amiga out there; and having never yet sat in front of any Amiga at all, I really am not sure whether this machine will give a decent experience compared to the other models if I were to take the time to restore it.

Frontier Elite 2 Intro playing in your browser (with luck).
I reverse engineered the graphics and music, it's basically the same software renderer as the original but at 2x resolution, then scaled up to fit the browser window.
Includes the original music and there's a few graphical tweaks if you can spot them. I remember getting this on a cover-disk and playing it over and over, debating if I should get some fast ram for my 1200!

Subject: Help With Greaseweazle / DrawBridge - Both Work Neither Read On Amiga
Hi all, I have a very odd problem, If I write a disk on my computer using Greaseweazle or Rob Smiths recently released DrawBridge Amiga floppy controller. They both write fine but neither will boot or read in the two A500's I have, however if I use an external drive on the A500 they read fine. Same floppy with the same adf written from a gotek to the internal floppy drive using x-copy works fine. Any ideas??
