Subject: piAmiga and the Speedlink Joystick
submitted by /u/solomanii
Hi all, trying to get my speedlink joystick working on my piAmiga. I got the movement working but buttons do not. Not sure if I am doing this correctly, here is my setup. Joystick is plugged into the first port on the pi400. There are no mapping options for buttons, just direction:

We are having yet another tournament and this time it's IK+! Anybody (close to Europe) can join, all you need is an internet connection and the AmigaLive client. Tournament will be held on the 27th at 7 PM UK time and it will be broadcasted on Twitch at https://twitch.tv/amigalive
If you wish to join and live close enough to Europe so that your ping can handle it (eg. US east coast should be fine) you can register at https://amigalive.com/gametime
I have just rescued my old Amiga 1200 from the loft where it's been for over 20 years. I have the power supply but nothing else. It still turns on and looks great but has a small crack by the disk drive and another little chip in the bottom left corner. Other than these it's in great condition and isn't yellow (keys are). Is it worth anything in the UK?

As some of you might know, I am writing a book with @unbounders about retro computers. It covers anecdotes and facts about the numbers that tie together the machines and the software. (Personally, I consider the Amiga to be retro, but perhaps others don't, and that's why there's been less of an uptake so far.)
Being a crowdfunded publication, you can pledge for just the book, get a signed copy, or become part of that history with some amazing extras:
Also, if you have numbers you think I should include, let me know here. And, if you pledge for the book, let me know here so I can bias the material accordingly :)

Subject: A500+ doesn't show all of the sprites in Arkanoid
I rebuilt an A500+ (plus) using a 500++ replacement board, recycling all of the working chips and using modern caps, etc.
As far as I can tell, it works completely, but when I boot up Arkanoid in KS 3.1, it doesn't work (presumably incompatible). In KS 1.3, it seems to work fine, but when I play I don't see any of the powerups dropping or any of the enemies that come out of the top. The game interacts with those missing sprites just fine and the ball bounces off them as if they were there.
On a stock A500 using KS 1.3, everything plays fine as well, using the same disk.
Is this a problem with the A500+? Does it relate to having 1mb ram? Or could it be a problem in my build? Are there any other steps you could recommend to troubleshoot?
Thank you in advance!

This game looks great - I love 3D space shooters, especially with AGA graphics. I'm struggling to find a .lhd file for it? I know the creator gave .iso and .lhd files out for free, but those download links no longer seem to function, wondering if a kind soul could help point me in the direction of a rom?
