Subject: Start screen and theme music missing in built in A500 games.
I’ve that the built in games Pinball, Cadaver and Battle Chess don’t have any theme music or title screen on the A500 mini. Why is that?
Thank God Super Cars II and Speedball II still has the amazing music….

Subject: New to Amiga 1000, looking for general tips and software transfer guides
I am trying to re-connect with my Amiga 1000, I'll give the long story below. But for the meantime, I read old internet posts about the ability to transfer games across from a Windows desktop PC to an Amiga 1000 through a null modem transfer cable. I have that, and any version of Windows PC I could want....3.1 until current times. I am looking for a simple how-to to play some R-Type, which I read Factor 5 made freeware. I figure it is a good place to start.
I got my Amiga 1000 loose in the expensive glass case are of a PC thrift store, many years ago now. It was untested and at powerup I was pleased to see that it had video and asked for the Kickstart disk. I next spent many months and found the specific 1000 model keyboard for it at auction, and then later an Amiga mouse. I went online and ordered some floppy disks: Kickstart 1.3 and Workbench 1.3. The seller included a Dr. Who demo so I could test out a game. While I was at it, I noticed there was an 8Mb upgrade from the community and I installed that to, which got the game running. I also bought 35 two side double density floppies (720K, I think) I can use for program storage, used, so I hope at least some of them can be repurposed. I guess I am going old school here.
I later bought an Atari ST color monitor (an SC 1224) that I hope to use for full RGB video, but it needs an adapter cable for the Amiga. I have not found anything, and I do not know if it works; for now I use composite. I have lots of basic questions: like, a good joystick to use? I have Atari 2600 joysticks, and Sega Master System controllers, will these work? I have read that the Amiga only uses one button and I think these should be compatible. I guess I could use some more basic tips, and maybe some game recommendations. Also, my keyboard is really dirty. Are there any disassembly guides? Do the keys pop off to allow for deeper cleaning?
Subject: Rpi update?
A couple of years ago I tried to make my rpi 3 into an amiga emulator, but I had to abandon the project, since there was too much work in setting it up. Now it seems there are more emulators available, but has it become easier to set it up? I am looking to buy a Pi400, to pair up with a nice CRT tv. But right now I have a small rpi handheld with three buttons, and it would be nice to be able to play some games in that, but I guess plug’n’play is not a possibility at the moment?

I hope no one is offended by me posting to this product. I am not affiliated. A few weeks ago I vented about my frustration with quickshot joysticks and got some good responses and advice. Yesterday I found this which looks really cool https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/uni-joy/unithor-a-brand-new-joystick-for-retro-computers?ref=checkout_rewards_page

Subject: FS-UAE emulator newbie question(s)
Hey, I have a pretty basic question *and I'm fairly knowledgeable about computers , emulators, etc.. * but I have the FS-UAE installed and an Open Retro Games database account created & the list successfully shows up into FS-UAE. My issue is this, there are many games NOT on this retro games database list & everywhere I've searched through FS-UAE documentation nothing at all mentions how to get OTHER games into the playable games list. I have figured out a way but it seems backwards / not the correct way or how it should be.
Here's what I've done to get games to show up (NOT in the list):
drop the game's .adf file into the FS-UAE "Downloads" folder.
Click any game I don't have in the list to access the screen with the game DL link & the "scan downloads" button
I click the scan downloads button & it does it's thing
I exit the screen I'm in (because it's not the game I want to play or added)
the game I added is now showing up in the list for me to play
Basically TLDR how can you access the "Scan downloads" feature easily so you can get games NOT in the retro games database to show up in the list? Thank you & forgive me if it's an obvious question/answer but I have done quite a bit of hunting & very frustratingly came up empty. Very much appreciate any help with this in advance. Have a great day guys!

Subject: Delays? (Assembly)
I've been trying to figure out for about a month now how to properly implement delays in assembly.
I have a rudimentary solution using the raster beam, and my code should be perfect, but it can be wrong by up to a second!
So, I tried using the timer device & functions, but those seem much too complex for my purposes.
Any ideas for a better solution?
