Subject: can flight if the Amazon Quebec be played from floppies...noob

Noob question as I am awaiting delivery of my Amiga 500 with ram expansions and other stuff. Bought a few games already to get started even though the Amiga comes with 2 massive boxes of floppies and a few of those drawer containers with floppies.....the flight if the Amazon queen game I have seen to buy comes on 11 floppies

The box states it is able to be copied to hard disk....can I still play direct from the floppies though instead of copying to hard disk?

I know floppies are supposed to be a pain and load times a while but for now want to run from floppy only till I get used to a amiga

Subject: How does the 500++ compare with the 1200?

I grew up a PC gamer but also read reviews of Amiga and Atari ST games alongside PC games in Strategy Plus in the early 90s. While I sadly don't have my old Memorex 8086 XT PC anymore I've decided to collect the holy trinity of home computers from my childhood. Other than the game reviews I knew nothing about the Amiga but I've been reading that the 1200 preferable to the 500 for various reasons, but how does it compare to the 500++? I would love to build one from scratch with the 500++ but the lack of an all in one kit is really putting me off and my experience doesn't stretch further than assembling a PC.

Subject: poor man's amiga

I want to run an Amiga emulator on a CRT off an old modern computer that I have.

However, Amiga keyboards are crazy expensive.

Is anyone aware of any keyboard layout that is pretty close to the original? I guess, any version of the originals. External or internal keyboards.

I'm talking about either a modern keyboard or one from the 90s or 80s with a PS/2.

Subject: Amiga 500 suddenly yellow screen..fixed removed expansion??

Hi there so ive had the 500 a few days and installed one of the 3 expansions that came with it....the other 2 i think are not good

i have got games to work and i was just trying out curse of enchantia that came in the post todday

it worked but then the screen turned all yellow

restarted but it was instant yellow, saw on google expansion cars can do this often so i removed it and its back to normal

does this mean the card is no good?

Subject: Amiga 501 Leaking Battery Replacement

I just took apart my A501 to replace the leaking battery. There is a little bit of discoloration on the board but it doesn't look that bad. Before I put the new battery in should I do anything to clean up the board?
