Subject: Amiga IDE2SD Hd Light fix and Aga Super High Res Artifacting jitter fix
![]() | Well, I did the Ultimate mod on my Amiga this weekend. Took a soldering gun to it, replaced the chipram with faster chipram 40ns. Did the AGA filter resisitor bridge mod under the agnus to allow super high res with ZERo Tearing or artifacts. Then i modified the mini ide to sd adapter so the harddrive light would flicker instead of staying solid by putting in 2 10k ohm resistors and breaking a trace on pin 39. Then I managed to Install OS 3.2 BUT. due to how hungry it is for ram if you dont have the 3.2 kick roms i decided to keep my 3.9 as it runs on just over 100k overhead where as os3.2 eats half your chipram 800k just to be able to roll a mouse wheel and have native adf mounting. I ordered some Blank AMIpc27400's so i can burn a hi and low rom then i'll deal with that but this was a SUCCESS. CLEAN SMOOTH AGA SUPER HD GRAPHICS AND A BLINKING HD LIGHT finally!! AS PER GUIDES: (WORKED AWESOME!) [link] [comments] |
Subject: Amiga Power survey filled out back in the day by a self-proclaimed 'School Expert' - cute little snapshot of someone's 1994 Amiga gaming life
I cleared out a house on Facebook marketplace, found some retro tech including what I think are amiga chips. I think I have found:
5 x am27c400-105dc 0829cpa 1991 AMD
3 x m27c800-100f1
2 x commodore-amiga 391524 1992
1 x m27c800-100f1
3 x am27c400-105dc 0829cpa 1986 AMD (no protective cover on these ones)
Are these chips worth anything?

Subject: Just ordered a mistress 1200 - what else should I get to have it be a "complete" system
Here's the link to the Mistress 1200 for context.
What is it: an Amiga 1200-case compatible FPGA hardware emulator for the Mister FPGA.
So far I bought the board - and I'm wondering if someone can correct me / validate a full list of stuff I'll need to get it up and going.
The list so far:
- Mister FPGA board
- Amiga 1200 case
- Amiga 1200 keyboard
- What else?
Is that about all I'll need? I was shocked to see the Mistress in stock, but I'd love to have one especially since it runs more than an Amiga core. I just don't want to get all the stuff going to learn I need to order some random bracket from the UK :)

I was just wondering if anybody knows of any new parts that can be used for the larger of the strain reliefs on the standard brick power supply? Bit of a longshot really. My dad bless him decided to look at the supply for me because I was going to upgrade to meanwell. He inexplicably snipped the cable off and took the strain relief off the cable, then knocked it onto the floor and his dog destroyed it. đŸ™„
I suppose it may just be that I have to buy a broken power supply on eBay just for that one part, and the rubber may be broken or petrified. I've had a good look at square strain reliefs on Google and while there's one 10mm x 12mm one I can buy, it doesn't have the larger collars on it that slide the relief into place on the supply and keep it in place.

So, first of all, Hello!I am absolutely new to the Amiga 500, I just recently bought it. I have a Gotek Drive installed.
So, i have the problem, that with some games when starting them, it just gives me the error "wait failed returncode 20" (for example, the last game where this happened was MF Tanks).
MF Tanks is listed to be working on OCS, and it nowhere says that i need additional hardware (expansion, hard drive etc).
what can i do, is this something that happens often? i am also really sorry if this is a "dumb" post, but as i said i am absolutely new to the amiga.I also googled "wait failed returncode 20", but i haven't gotten anything relevant.
Help would be really apreciated, and i thank all of you in advance!
Greetings from Germany, LuVo!
(i can also provide screenshots, or the games adf, if needed)
Edit: forgot to mention that my amiga 500 has a Kickstart 1.3

This video has took me about a year of research and experimentation to finish with some interesting results and conclusions. I even find one of the triggers of yellowing!

Subject: I recently inherited a lot of games. are they worth something?
Hi all, just wondering if anybody knows if the Furia 020 is compatible with a v1.0 Junebug A600 (Amiga 300)?
I have one here that's giving me a black screen with a SanDisk Extreme 32GB SD card, and a Hori 32GB micro SD card (Nintendo Switch branded).
If I remove the card, the system boots to the kickstart screen, and I can boot the system using a workbench floppy....so I ASSUME the Furia is OK with my Amiga revision and this is an sd card issue?

Hi All
I use Amiga Forever and a USB gamepad and usually it is no problems but I am having a right headache with the controls in Flashback. The game runs fine but I have difficulty "tweaking" the pistol whip, fire, Spring jump (not sure if that's what its called but if you have played Flashback you will know what I mean.
I bought a Comp pro 25th anniversary joystick and have had nothing but trouble with it. (Manufacturers told me it was a known glitch and later models do not suffer from this) The buttons are reversed and a whole lot more problems so I don't use it. Shame as I like the style. When I had a real amiga I used a zip stik and it is something like that I am after. Can anyone recommend a good PC USB amiga style joystick AND how to sort out them pesky controls on AF and Flashback. :-)
Thanks for listening.
