I am sharing this... This just appeared on my YT suggested list. Its from Jan 8, 2021.

If you own an A2000 the all-in-1 Gotek/SCSI2SD looks really cool, wish I could find one for my A2000. :)

Subject: Trying to get on the Exxos Forum

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

This site has a registration question, of of which was "how many address lines does the 68k cpu have", so I searched google and Wikipedia says 24 lines. Is that completely wrong? Because the site registration says it was invalid.

The other was whats the F mean in STFM. Which I take it is Search The F'n Manual.. F'n in its long form, and that wasn't the correct answer too. So there is anther STFM in the Amiga world? lol

The other ones were related to the Atari's which aren't my thing, which one shipped with 512KB and which one shipped with 1024KB. I think google said 260 for 512 and 1040 for 1024. :(

Subject: Best way to read amiga floppies to pc

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi, I have lots of old amiga floppies that id like to read. I do have an a1000 and an external drive but was hoping to grab some documents and code onto pc directly if possible.

I recall using a utility a long time ago that needed two floppy disk drives but I don't have any pc floppy drives any more.

What is the best process to do that?

Subject: how do I copy an LHA file to my Amiga?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Whats the best way to copy an LHA file to an Amiga?

I got my iComp Indivision ECS V2 but looking through the manual it says higher resolutions I need the HighGFX which its found on Aminet under util/web. So yeah, my Amiga doesn't have a ethernet connection yet so I am limited to me Gotek at this point.

Thanks,

Subject: iComp Indivision ECS V2

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Who here has one of these? :)

So after reading the manual and installing it on my A2000 and getting it going. Someone here was nice enough to give me the 3D print file for a back plate with VGA cut out. Sorry I cannot find the message and persons name right now, Reddit seems to be broken.

In the manual that comes with the Idivision it says you don't need a driver but suggests you using the HighGFX to get higher res modes. So I was playing what and realized the Indivision was still in STD mode, so after search google I found a thread on their site of them mocking someone for the same problem saying they didn't download setup driver; wait what? Clearly iComp didn't read their own manual. lol

So I got the setup going, noticed on my LG 24" monitor the best setting is 1920x1080p 60Hz with NTSC Hi-Res otherwise the fonts and images get a bit destroyed (not sure if there is away to fix it at higher modes like 1080p) I see a bit of ghosting. My A2000 needs a recap, so I wonder if the ghosting could be related to that?

The only other question I have is how do I change the colors or make my WB desktop look nicer. I will add a screen shot in a minute or two after I post this to show you what it looks now. Not sure how to get the font smaller if that's possible? Not sure how to the icons, text size etc.

Thanks,

Subject: K&A Plus Magazine #17 is out!

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

After a few mishaps with the printing shop and couriers (aren't we all feeling lazier these days?) we finally present to you the seventeenth issue of Komoda & Amiga Plus or K&A Plus Magazine, the longest running paper magazine dedicated to Commodore computers.

We dedicated this issue to LucasArts and their legacy in the Amiga and C64, but you will also find the usual reviews of news releases, as well as more technically minded columns. We also review Recalbox and Amikit, two emulation oriented products. And we showcase some of the Amiga ASCII art scene.

All of this for 8€ plus shipping, or 1.5€ for the digital version.

For orders, point your browser to: http://ka-plus.pl

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I have another question for everyone, looking for the instructions for setting up the 1.7M floppy in WB 3.1.4. I wanted to see if I create a 1.7M ADF and put it on my GoTek drive if Amiga OS will mount it. Currently as it stands it won't, it just says undefined or something.

Subject: I think my A500 died

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

A few months ago I bought an Amiga 500 on ebay. It came without a power supply or a working disk drive. I bought an after market power supply, and when I tested it, I got the screen telling me that the Amiga needed a disk.

Satisfied that I had a working machine, I purchased a Gotek drive emulator and an adapter for a usb mouse. Everything worked fine, and I was able to play games, use Workbench etc.

After using it for a week or two, I decided that I wanted a gamepad and ordered one of these (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-Controller-Gamepad-Commodore-64-Control-Pad-Power-Stick-3-button/263986698931?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649). I plugged it in and tried it out. Everything seemed to work fine. When I restarted the Amiga, the keyboard didn't work. I restarted again and went into Workbench, and it did work, but it failed to work after restarting again. I did some searching online and learned to look at the CapsLock key. It was blinking one time. I saw some suggestions that I should open the Amiga up and check to see if everything was seated properly. I did so (carefully with a strap), but nothing felt loose. When I hooked the Amiga back up I get a drive light, but the power LED does not turn on. The Gotek powers up and the USB stick blinks.

Have I completely fried something?

Subject: Where can I buy Amiga 1200 for reasonable price?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

In my country Amiga 1200 is sold for over 400 USD but its very rare deal. Mostly the prices starts from 550 USD. It's very expensive for such an old computer. I understand that it's rare but it's madness. I tried looking for one on amazon but its out of stock and prices on ebay are also horrendous. Is it possible to buy A1200 for like 300 USD?
