Weirdly, I have enough CPU and GPU power in my house to run a small datacenter - I suspect that I could be mining a ton of bitcoin. 

But I'm selfish. I want all my cycles to myself. I don't share with SETI or other science or humanity things, either. I'm like the Smaug of Instruction Cycles. I just like to lie on them and know they're all mine. I don't want to do anything else with them except enjoy that I have them. :D

I once voted for a democrat for president -- Romney in 2012.

He doesn't even try to hide it anymore.  He's a far left communist socialist America-hating demoKKKrat.  The only reason he holds any office at all right now is because he's a Moron and he ran in Utah.  They can do better than that.

Fortunately I did not. When the choices between Democrat and Republican were terrible or LESS terrible, I consistently voted Libertarian. Kinda proud of that, at this point. My gut instincts were right. 

I didn't mind if the Republicans lost when the choices they were giving me were dog food vs. dog shit. I found something a little more appetizing than their two-party choices and hoped that a big enough rejection of their "they offer you dog shit, we at least offer you dog food," choice would get them to wake up. 

That is what we need to do as the next pacifist movement - reject them completely down the line, no matter what the impact. The Democrats won't ever do that. A Biden/Harris administration proves that. They'll always vote party loyal. 

But the GOP should be destroyed by this - allowing something else to rise in its place.

1. The current POTUS is even more incompetent than the last one. 

2. Liberals are destroying this country from the inside out.

1: I had reservations about the last one, but he turned out to be the best one since Reagan. That doesn't necessarily mean he was *competent*, though - the bar has been set pretty low since Bush 1. 

2: Yes. This is true. 

So, are you normally *not* very excited about the Republican candidates but more ambivalent about the Democrat ones? It is OK if so. I even understand the key issues that make some people dislike Republican candidates in general and feel more positive towards Democrat ones - and they're not, at root, unsound reasons. We *are* kind of bastards and they definitely *do* talk more about compassion.
